The Joy of the Accident

Closing my eyes and allowing my hand to draw of its own accord, I would run the pen around the page. Afterwards I would study the shape I had created and try to think of ways I could characterise it somehow.

Everything Happens for a Reason

Instagram

A funky #duncantrussell painting I did
Sit and sweep the garden.
Alot of my time on the island for the past year has been spent walking up and down the same stretch of beach listening to amazing podcasts by people like #duncantrussell at #dtfh and #douglasrushkoff at #teamhuman. I feel like podcasts have really found their place in these times, not only do they aim to help us understand ourselves a little better through honest communication but they also help to relieve some of the lonliness. I feel like these guys and many others are part of my life in such an intimate way and I thank everyone out there who has made the past year a little easier for everyone else. What podcasts do you like?
I would love to know of anybody else out there in the world who has spent their entire covid experience on a tiny island? This small spit of land in Indonesia has been mine and Kirstie's life raft. I am full of grace for having this 1 in a billion experience although I would say, it's not for the faint hearted. If there's anyone else out there please get in touch. Wanna know more? Check out my website.
It's been a year since I was Instagram. I've spent all that time on a castaway island in Indonesia. Literally. I've done so much and yet so little. Gonna start sharing some of the experiences from possibly the most bizarre lockdown.
Afternoon chillin'. Currently still working half days here and the rest of the time is filled with various personal projects. I'm mapping out and researching a new story set in the Bardot, sketching strange things, trying to improve my guitar skills and running most days. Today I smashed my own personal records. Pro tip, if you're running in 36° heat please drink enough water beforehand. Speaking from personal experience you don't want to get acute dehydration. Also, loving #themidnightgospel right now. Hope everyone else is settling into #lockdown
